With happy rolling drums, the don’t give a flying toss-vibe comes at us like a wealth of freedom, jubilantly peeping around with a pair of fingers on the strings of a cozy stringy guitar. Ad some jolly bass and a recklessly bright vocalist to top it all off and behold this strong case of letting it all go will push people into cheerfulness. Empowering enough to trigger listeners to step out of their uniforms and become their silly selves again! How wonderful and happy!

It is the epitome of punk, proofing that not all that this style has to offer has to sound horrible, redundant and like sad chap ready for the next heroin shoot up. Nope, St James Infirmary comes brightly smiled over us, brings in some fine ramshackle sound of cheerfulness, with a great sense of positive mental mentality that seems as free as a bird, yet swinging around as if they have their feet lightly tip toeing over the ground. St James Infirmary isn’t out of touch with the normies, nor untouchable! They invoke something clownish in everyone of us, a thing that simply doesn’t want you to take life so seriously, instead to just enjoy the adventure a little bit more than normal!

To me it is comparable to that freeing feeling of seeing the circus parade rolling in, one that is happily showing off that they have arrived in town, brilliantly hopping around like carelessly unique individuals that are looking as bright and eccentric as they would like to be, shining away brilliantly free among the streets of greyness and boredom. St James Infirmary is bringing that sound that makes you want to join them, break into the freeing music of stable energy, slight bewildering anarchy with bright playfulness that doesn’t care if it is loved or not! To Hell with the establishment and boring rules, long live the real you and this work here by St James Infirmary! Hooray!
